01Data we collect

Account data

Email address, hashed password (or OAuth identifier if you sign in with Google), and account preferences.

Content you submit

YouTube URLs you submit, the generated ebooks (text, cover image, exported files), and metadata such as creation date and chosen format.

Billing data

Subscription tier, billing status and Stripe customer ID. Card numbers are handled exclusively by Stripe — we never see or store them.

Technical data

IP address, browser user-agent and basic usage logs, used for security, abuse prevention and service reliability.

02How we use your data

Provide the ebook generation service and store your library.
Process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe.
Send transactional emails (account verification, billing, important service notices).
Detect and prevent abuse, fraud and security incidents.
Improve product quality through aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics.

03Third-party processors

Supabase — authentication, database and file storage (EU region).
Stripe — payments and subscription management.
Google Gemini — AI processing of transcripts to generate ebook text.
YouTube — public video transcripts are fetched to generate the ebooks.
Resend — transactional email delivery.

04Data retention

Generated ebook files: automatically deleted from storage after 30 days.
Download links: signed URLs expire after 24 hours and are refreshed on demand.
Account data: kept as long as your account is active. Deleting your account permanently removes your personal data within 30 days (excluding billing records we are legally required to keep).

06Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management only. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

07Children

TubeBook is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18; if we become aware of such data, we will delete the associated account and information promptly.

08Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.
